20th Century Cincinnati Show

It’s time again for the 20th Century Cincinnati Show, your yearly chance to see and purchase vintage clothing, furniture, art and more. The show runs February 23-24 at the Sharonville Convention Center where 60 separate dealers will fill 20,000 square feet of exhibit space. Lee Hay talks with Pam Forsee Hogue of the show about a special attraction this year, an exhibit of works by Russel Wright, born and raised in Lebanon, Ohio but went on to become one of the finest Modern designers of the Art Deco era in the 30’s.

Dead Sea Scrolls Exhibition

An important part of human history is now on display at the Cincinnati Museum Center. The exhibition Dead Sea Scrolls: Life and Faith in Ancient Times opened recently and will be in Cincinnati through mid-April. Dr. Risa Levitt Kohn, co-curator of this exhibition and professor of Hebrew Bible and Judaism at San Diego State University, recently sat down with Mark Perzel to discuss the importance of the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, what visitors can expect to see when they visit, and the extreme care that is taken to preserve these artifacts.

Artist Shinji Turner-Yamamoto

Cincinnati’s Phyllis Weston Gallery is currently featuring the work of internationally acclaimed artist Shinji Turner-Yamamoto. Anne Arenstein welcomes the artist, who discusses his exhibit at the Phyllis Weston Gallery as well as the site-specific installations he’s done around the world and his Global Tree Project.
