Greater Cincinnati enjoys a rich cultural, social and political life and Cincinnati Edition will showcase the wide variety of talented individuals and committed organizations that make Cincinnati special.

Cincinnati Edition Saturday and Sunday will cease production on June 30th. Tune in Monday, July 1st at 2:00 pm for the new expanded program covering news from regional government to business, education, health and the arts. Mark Perzel continues as your host on Mondays. Maryanne Zeleznik will be your host on Tuesdays. Mark Heyne hosts on Wednesdays; and Jay Hanselman and Howard Wilkinson will co-host on Thursdays.

Fossil and Fragment Geological Research at UC

Dr. Joshua Miller from the University of Cincinnati’s Department of Geology joins Thane Maynard to discuss his work collecting and researching fossils and other historical fragments to better understand the population and geographic movements of earlier cultures. He has traveled to the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (AK), Yellowstone National Park (WY), Denali National Park (AK), Isle Royale National Park (MI), the Wind River Mountains (WY), and Amboseli National Park (Kenya) to seek out information on the movements and ecological challenges faced by early man.

Movie Review: Django Unchained

I know many of us have gone to a movie simply because of the “over-hype” where the end product was nowhere nearly as good as the sales job. I have just discovered another arena of disappointment: “over-expectation.” As a big fan of westerns and of the films of Quentin Tarantino, I have awaited Django Unchained as if it were the star on top of the Christmas tree. Imagine my surprise when the film he delivered did not live up to what I envisioned he could deliver. And I’m not saying it’s a bad film, but it has enough little things wrong with it to chalk it up as a disappointment.
