Recent announcements about WMUB and programs of interest.

Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me! debuts (January 5, 2008)

Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me! debuts (January 5, 2008)

2008 brings a new program to the WMUB airwaves. Starting January 5, WMUB listeners can now enjoy NPR’s “oddly informative news quiz” Wait Wait... Don’t Tell Me! every Saturday at 11:00 am. The program is hosted by performer and writer Peter Sagal. NPR newsman Karl Casell serves as official judge and scorekeeper.

The show is produced by the same folks who put together Car Talk and has become a “must have” on public radio stations across the country. Each week’s show is taped before a live audience, usually in Chicago, and features a celebrity panel including people such as: author Tom Bodett, comedienne Paula Poundstone and syndicated columnist Amy Dickinson.

Other Saturday changes include the move of Michael Feldman’s Whad’Ya Know to a new time, 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Fresh Air Weekend will now air at 3:00 pm and Travel With Rick Steves is moving out of Saturday mornings into the 4:00 pm time slot.

We’ll look forward to your comments about our new Saturday line-up. Please send them by e-mail to Program Director John Hingsbergen at: comment(at)wmub.org, or leave your comments on the WMUB Listener Comment Line at 513-529-1280.
