Cincinnati Council will consider a proposal Wednesday to allow another agency to oversee the city’s "Neighborhood Support Program." The Finance Committee approved the plan Monday. Each of the city’s neighborhoods will receive $7,000 this year for projects. The Community Development Department administered the program last year. Before that "Invest in Neighborhoods" managed it. A Council majority supports returning to that system. Council will likely appropriate $60,000 for "Invest in Neighborhoods" to administer the NSP. The City Manager will have the final say on whether any contract is awarded.
