Tomorrow is going to be an extra busy day in Norwood. With large crowds expected at the Rookwood pavilion. People are likely to start gathering early in the morning waiting for former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s book signing at Joseph Beth booksellers and across the parking lot large crowds are also expected for the grand opening of the Nordstrom Rack store which is offering special sales and giveaways. Norwood police Lieutenant Tom Williams says officers will be on hand to help out. Palin’s team set guidelines which limited line tickets to 1,000 for the signing. They are already sold out and the bookstore will be closed from 10:00-3:00 to accommodate the crowd. Barbara Hudson is the PR and Event Coordinator at Joseph-Beth. She says this is not one of the biggest events the store has held with crowds of around 3500 for Harry Potter events and Caroline Kennedy. Hudson says there will be plenty of parking available in the lots at the Pavilion, Rookwood Commons and the parking garage at Rookwood towers. Sarah Palin will autograph books between noon and 3:00 p.m. and Nordstrom Rack will be open from 9:00 to 9:00.
