Mark Mallory will again be Cincinnati’s mayor. He defeated Republican Brad Wenstrup in yesterday’s election. Only Greg hARRIS will not be returning to Cincinnati Council, all the other incumbents were re-elected. They are Roxanne Qualls, Cecil Thomas, Chris Bortz, Jeff Berding, Leslie Ghiz, Chris Monzel, and Laketa Cole. They’ll be joined by newcomer Laure Quinlivan and former council member Charlie Winburn. Incumbent Cincinnati school board members Melanie Bates, Eileen Cooper Reed and Catherine Ingram were re-elected they’ll be joined by newcomer Vanessa White. Most levies on the Hamilton County Ballot passed voters approved levies for Family Health and Hospitalization services MRDD, the Museum Center, the Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, and the Cincinnati Schools. Voters also approved a charter amendment which requires voter approve before the sale or transfer of any assets of the city to any regional water district. Issue 9 which would have required voter approval before money could be spent on rail or streetcars was defeated.
